How to send Broadway fan mail!

How to send Broadway fan mail!

Hello my friends, I have returned with something that I have never done before, a tutorial, so I wanted to teach you all how to one of my hobbies, fan mail!

Sending to actors

Materials
  • 2-4 stamps
  • Paper and writing utensil
  • 2 envelopes (if asking for a Playbill, a 6x9 in. envelope will work, if not, a 4x9 in. envelope would work)
Let's say that you're writing to Christy Altomare, the address you should use is

Christy Altomare
Broadhurst Theatre Stage Door
c/o Anastasia
325 West 44th Street,
New York, NY 10036

and if you're sending to any Broadway actor/actress you should use the same format

Name of Actor/Actress
Theatre Name and Stage Door
c/o Name of Show
Address of the Theatre

I personally won't tell you what you should write, but I will say that you shouldn't include anything weird or creepy. If you're asking for a signed photo or a Playbill, be sure to specify that in your letter.

Next, fold your letter and put it in your 4x9 in. envelope and put one stamp on it. Then, get your 6x9 in. envelope or whatever size envelope you're using, put two stamps on it, and address the envelope to yourself. Then fold it and put it in your 4x9 in. envelope and then you can go send it!

Sending to stage managers

Materials
  • 2-4 stamps
  • Paper and writing utensil
  • 2 6x9 envelopes
On this example, let's say that you're sending to the Anastasia stage managers requesting a cast signed Playbill.

The address you should use is

Broadhurst Theatre Stage Door
c/o Anastasia
ATTN: Stage Manager
325 West 44th Street,
New York, NY 10036

and if you're sending to any other Broadway stage managers, you should use the same format

Theatre Name and Stage Door
c/o Name of Musical
ATTN: Stage Manager
Address of Theatre

I personally won't tell you what you should write, but I will say that you shouldn't include anything weird or creepy and that you should specify that you that you want a cast signed Playbill in your letter.

Next, fold your letter and put it in one of your envelopes and put one stamp on it. Then, get your other envelope , put two stamps on it, and address the envelope to yourself. Then fold it and put it in first envelope and then you can go send it!

I hope that this was very informative and that it helped you if you were wanting to send fan mail! Thank you so much for reading, keep conquering the stage!

  2. If they are not in the show anymore, how can we do so?
